Welcome to City and Suburban Cricket Association
The C&S was founded in 1903 and is a is a direct affiliate of NSW Cricket and Sydney Cricket Association. The Association offers its member Clubs and their representatives the opportunity to play good quality cricket in a friendly but competitive atmosphere at good quality venues and without the pressure of a commitment, all day and every weekend.
Renowned for playing cricket in the true spirit of the game, teams compete in limited over matches on Saturdays or Sundays from October to March, predominately on turf wickets, using a four piece ball. Matches commence at 1.30 and are usually played 35 to 40 overs per side.
The majority of fixtures are played with no competition table however 5 designated matches before Christmas count towards a league ladder. The leading eight teams then contest a knock-out competition (The JPS Shield). That has proven to be a popular innovation. All matches are played under the MCC Laws of Cricket and rely on the integrity of players to uphold the laws and traditions of the game in a competitive environment and enjoy enjoy a social drink with one another at the end of the day.
